Desperately Seeking Body Doubles

Like shy young fawns tripping through the forest, so too is it rare to catch the elusive Lisas on camera. Although fetching shots of the sides and backs of our roundish heads have graced this blog in the past, when it came to a feature article in the Adrian, MI hometown newspaper, The Daily Telegram, we had a difference of opinion with the reporter as to the necessity of mug shots.

“The book covers are lovely, it’s really all you’re going to need,” we murmur in our best Obi Wan voice.

“You know how editors are, they’re going to want photos of the two of you,” he said.

“Would a baby photo work?”

“Perhaps something a little more recent.”

It’s not as though thelisas have not discussed this dreaded possibility before. We discussed paying for professional head shots. We discussed going on diets. We discussed hiring body/face/stunt doubles. In the end we offered up what we could. It’s really about the voice, after all. And aren’t the covers lovely?

  1. Hello The Lisas! Just stopping by after reading one of your comments on my blog. Thank you for that, by the way. I also just skimmed through your first chapter and I really liked it! Best of luck with your book!

  2. The covers are lovely!

Baby shots would, of course, confuse the readers to no end, you know….

  3. Us? Create confusion? Cherish, er, perish the thought ;p
(The covers think you’re snazzy too, btw)

  4. The cover is lovely.
    This is all so exciting.

    • Thank you, granny, for taking the time from your packing/move to drop by. We’re working hard to format for Sony ereaders just for you!

  5. I think your pictures are lovely, as is the cover of the book. 🙂 Keep tweeting BTW. That’s how I found this. Yay!
