About the Lisas

In high school we were Lisa C. and Lisa C. The surnames have changed (slightly) and time has rolled on, but Lisa and I have remained friends for the better part of our lives. Some of the worst parts too. In all that chronology and kindred spiritedness we always knew we were born to be writers.

Problem was we were going to die born-writers if we didn’t get started, and that would be a real bummer. Late bloomers but fragrant nonetheless, we have thus far completed two fantastic novels. And there’s plenty more where that came from (over-active imaginations and tippy-tappy fingertips).

We will will make up for lost time. We will make our mothers (the Judys) proud. We will chart our progress on this blog.

Prepare to be dazzled. And always check your pockets for tissues before throwing them into the wash.

  1. I am impressed. Not only to the dedication to your friendship, but to your commitment to follow through – no matter how long it takes.

  2. Girls…I see a movie in the making. 🙂

  3. I loved the opening paragraph of your Will Steal for Shoes. Very crisp and witty. From one aspiring novelist to another (or another two, I should say?), good luck.

  4. And I was a Lisa C. before I got married. Didn’t realize we were so popular. And we all want to be writers . . . hmmmmmm . . . almost sounds like a conspiracy. Good luck with the book. I’ll be popping in to see how it’s going. Solidarity!

  5. Lisa, Lisa & Lisa Write Books! Lisas United!

  6. Really impressed by the length of your friendship — I can’t stay in one city (or country?) long enough to cultivate something that meaningful. Lots of luck to you both — we’ll meet up on the shelves of a bookstore!

  7. Oh my goodness — excellent blog concept! Can’t wait to see where this goes~

    • We can’t either! It’s probably time to update this page, since we actually have one manuscript under our belt (and out to agents) and our writing is rocking and rolling. But maybe we’ll wait until September, when we can change the number of years we’ve known each other to the Big 3-0
Thanks for dropping by, we hope to see you around!

Ha ha! I just love how neither of your faces show in these pictures. How did I never see your blog before? You need to post more links in the humourists group on WD.

    • We *do* so like to toot our own horn. And that’s not another potty joke, although if it was who could blame us?
What we really need to do is add more links to y’all. Somebody poke TOL (The Other Lisa) with a cattle prod.
